A TRIBUTE TO VENICE’S HISTORY IN TEXTILES AND GLASSMAKING

1922. An ancient convent on the island of Giudecca is transformed into the actual factory Mariano Fortuny in which exclusive fabrics are still made nowadays with its legendary textile mill and the original machines. The Pasticcino Bag Modello Venezia is made of three different cottons for a timeless and contemporary attitude. Metallic motifs in gold and copper are to be found together with ivory and dusty teal blue to lavender and deep red set on a creamy base to a pattern in a mix of green and beige.

THE DISTINCTIVE CLASP OF THE PASTICCINO BAG MODELLO VENEZIA

The island of Murano in the Venice Lagoon has been unrivalled over the centuries for the distinctive art of glassmaking and its levels of technique and creativity. The two beads that make the distinctive clasp of the Pasticcino Bag Modello Venezia are handmade by a master glassmaker at Gambaro & Tagliapietra Murano glass studio, renowned worldwide for its artistic one-of-a-kind pieces since 1974. One of the beads blends an ivory base with streaks of contrasting nuances for a “marbleized” effect, while the other one is made with a pastel-tinged base, soaked or “sommerso” in a clear glass finish.

Unique, highly coveted, infinitely versatile. The Pasticcino Bag Modello Venezia further enriches the iconic bag’s collection.
